Martin Creed pushes us to explore and see art in a different way. One of the biggest questions that he asks that surrounds that theme is “What is Art?” What is a piece of work that you know about but others do not consider it art? Why is it art to you? Why should others see it from your perspective?
"To the ribbon" Martin Creed not only makes visual art and turns ready made objects into art, but he also makes music! If you could have a theme song for your life what would it be? You could visually show us the feel of the music you imagine, or by making the music itself. What is your theme song?
"It doesn't have to be mundane" Martin Creed has a fun way of exploring art. He takes the normal and makes it exciting. What is one thing that you wish to add some fun magic flare to? In your own artistic medium, show us a before and after of the thing you wish to make fun. This could be an object, a place or even a concept! The world is your playground.
week 2 prompt 2
The air would be thick but it's not the fog
or any mist
nor from a candle's wick
Chatter can be heard for miles generations of women
cooking from aged papyrus waiting to feed those that come for the company and the smiles
Shades of black sit together
swapping stories with artistry
full bellies aching with laughter
despite the storms they've all weathered
A celebration
A culmination
of a year of surviving
and to somehow still thriving
