Kedesia Robinson
Five Senses
The after taste of turkey sandwich
Hits me as I lay out
My blanket onto the grass
My shoes are off and
I embrace my surroundings
All I see is green and brown
Grass, leaves and wood
This place offers me
Freedom, Expression and Serenity
The sound of screaming kids
Draws near and
Their soccer ball runs my way
I reach out my
arm to touch and pick it up
I throw it back their way
and am thanked
They leave my secret retreat
And Iām again able to receive
What could only be deemed
Unrealistic elsewhere
Freedom, Expression and Serenity
