So, what did you do today?

Sooo… instead of actually completing some of my work for school, I watched all of the Marvel movies IN ORDER. I know what you’re thinking, “Fatou, why… you had work to finish?”, or is that just me to myself? Welp, watching all of the Marvel movies IN ORDER is a pretty big deal, in my opinion. So, I can just cross that off my bucket list, and you know what? I think I’m going to start getting into film culture, I think it would be great for me. Something about the Marvel Franchise sits so well with me, and I think it mainly has to do with how beautifully the movies were written and delivered to the public. As I was watching the movies, I really felt like I began to fall in love with the idea of story telling, and I am realizing that storytelling can be executed in many different ways. One of those ways is through fashion. People are constantly using clothing items to tell stories about themselves and their experiences. And, as someone who wants to be able to communicate these aspects of myself, adding fashion to my arsenal would only help these ideas be addressed clearly and concisely, while adding a little bit of spice to me. All in all, to many people, including my parents, it may have just looked like I watched movies all day. But really, I was cultivating some tools I needed to become more confident and creative with the way I wanted to present myself in the future, and consequently adding more depth to my already awesome personality!
